Founded in 1994, Metro Retaining Walls
has become one of St. Louis’
leading independent retaining wall companies. Over the years, our reputation has grown as a company that provides exceptional personalized service, high-quality, professional engineering and structural design. We are involved in every phase of the commercial and residential retaining wall market including excavation, engineering and construction solutions.
Owner and President John Baker holds a B.S. in Engineering from Parks College and an M.B.A. from the John Cook School of Business at St. Louis University. John worked for the Boeing Company for 13 years before founding Metro Retaining Walls. John is a hands-on owner who is involved in many daily business functions and operations such as sales, construction and final walk-throughs of completed projects.
As a company, it is our job to ensure that all of our customers are satisfied. John has brought together a team of industry professionals who have more than 60 years of combined knowledge and experience in the retaining wall industry. These professionals pride themselves on providing beautiful hardscapes with proven structural integrity.
